I have a special place in my heart for military wives. Maybe it’s because my mother is a soldier’s wife…or because one of my best friends is one…all I know is that it takes a special kind of woman to be a soldier’s wife. I am honored that so many wives have shown interest and have decided to book with us this summer. We will have your images ready for your mens return home 
There are a few things I wanted to accomplish when I decided to focus my energy on boudoir . First and foremost, I wanted to make sure the women that book a boudoir session with us leave with the best experience possible. Check your insecurities at the hotel door ladies and trust that we will photograph you in the most flattering way. Women are not built the same, so why would we want to pose them the same? Your session is uniquely you…right down to how you want your hair & makeup. Have fun with it! Have you wanted to try the pin-up girl look? or rocker chic? Whatever your imagination can come up with our ladies at Spa Maxx at The Campbell Hotel can pull it off.
Another goal I wanted to accomplish is to have a portfolio with diversity – all different body shapes, as well as race. Boudoir is such an intimate photo session. If I were looking through sites, I would want to see girls that look similar to me. It adds a level of comfort knowing the photographer has seen and worked with someone with your “look”.
My mother is Korean, so I grew up within the Asian community. So naturally, I started there
I’ve known May for close to 13 years now. We met through mutual friends while we were attending OU. I love May and one of the things I admire most about her is her self-confidence. What you see is what you get. She has a good balance of sassiness & gentleness. She’s the type of friend that will always make the effort to help you out and those kinds of friends are worth holding on to. May LOVES all things fashion. She likes the finer things in life and makes no apologies for it. I’ve grown to like this about May. When I first showed her this photo she said, “I look SO Asian!” LoL. I said to her, “…and that is why its such a beautiful photo.”

Ivy was nervous girl #2. When I contacted my friends Helra and Amy about finding me someone to photograph, Ivy was one of the girls interested. I had never met Ivy, so naturally I went on Facebook, sent her a friend request, then Facebook stalked her for about 30 minutes. From her photos, she looked like the girl next door. She had a lot of silly face photos, so I was curious to see how she would handle boudoir. She was AMAZING!
She did so well with direction. Her main reaction to her photos was, “I can’t believe that’s me!” We took some absolutely gorgeous ones of her that she has deemed too risqué for the internet We always ask before we post a photo and there is zero pressure to say ok. Ivy since the shoot has been so supportive of us. She is such a sweet person and I’m so glad I got a chance to meet her. She’s in school right now studying to be a physician’s assistant (I think that’s right). Brains & Beauty
Michelle Could she BE anymore gorgeous?! My friend Helra told me that Michelle looked like a model and she was right. She walked in the room with a big smile and a cheerful disposition. We immediately felt comfortable with her. I’ve said it before, it’s a photographers job to make our clients feel at ease during their sessions, but it is nice when our clients walk in happy and ready to have some fun. Michelle had a great sense of humor about everything. Oh, and a little random side note – I would have never thought the high heels she brought would cause such a stir among my facebook friends. I don’t know how many people messaged me asking me if those were Christian Louboutin’s. Me being the fashionably challenged person that I am, I had never heard of these heels. Yes, I know, I am a sad soul. I wear chucks every day… are you really that shocked?
I really enjoyed meeting Michelle. She has been nothing but supportive and kind during the post session process.
Jinny was the first girl for me to snag for our OKC event. I remember Jinny from college, but only saw her every once and awhile. I do remember she did a photo session with us girls from time to time. When I told Jinny that I wanted to photograph her, she was on board immediately. Like I said, I wanted examples of all shapes and sizes. Jinny is comfortable in her skin and I love that. She did a great job and rocked that fierce look. She is absolutely gorgeous.

And then there is Samantha, our AMAZING hair and makeup artist. I can not say enough about Samantha. Her makeup was flawless that day. She is so talented and we’re so lucky to have snagged her for our upcoming boudoir event in OKC May 4th! If you need hair and makeup done, you should call Samantha.
Needless to say, we are excited about our next boudoir event in Oklahoma City! May 4th! We have one more spot available!
So, most of you have heard of the saying “they have a face for radio” right? Well, Tara does not apply. You might have heard Miss Tara while driving to work early in the morning on 104.5 The Edge. She gives the morning show a little extra fun and goofiness, and a touch of female perspective. I’ve always thought it takes a special kind of person to be able to speak publicly with ease. Keep in mind I waited until my senior year in college to take speech because I was SO terrified. Here’s a little fun fact: My speech professor was Jerry Giordano. You might remember him as a new anchor for Channel 8…and then he became news himself…and we know the rest of that story…I digress.
I wasn’t sure what to expect with Tara. Would she be the same as she is on the radio? Would she be completely different? To my surprise she was AWESOME. From the moment she walked in, she was beyond pleasant and hilarious! Yes readers, she is gorgeous AND funny. As a photographer, one of my jobs is to make sure the client feels completely at ease especially in the field of boudoir. On the flip side, it is Amazing when our clients roll with the punches and just have a good time. I loved how comfortable Tara was with herself. She came in full of personality and it was refreshing.
She also was comfortable in her own skin. Every time she did an outfit change, she would come out like she was debuting on stage It was hilarious.
This girl isn’t just a pretty face though. She trains in the martial art Jiu Jitsu, as well as boxing, yoga, self-defense in general. “Every girl should know how to defend themselves.” - Tara
Love her makeup? She’s also a makeup artist!
My husband was kind enough to lend me some of his LP’s for Tara’s shoot. I asked her what some of her favorite musician’s were – Zeppelin, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Rush, Janis Joplin, and the great Johnny Cash. This one was her idea
The one thing I gathered from Tara is what you see is what you get. She is genuine and she gives her whole heart to everything she does. She has the personality that can be one of the girls and keep up with the boys. Tara has the heart and courage to be so much in this world and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for her. :)

Belinda was extremely sweet and super chill when I met her. I got the feeling from her that she didn’t realize how gorgeous she was…and if she did, she didn’t care. I asked Jami to give me a better insight on Belinda since they have known each other for a few years.
In the words of Jami: One of the things I love about Belinda is how super chill she is. You never feel awkward with her because she’s always willing to talk to you. That’s probably why she has a ton of friends. Friends, next to family, is very important to her. She’s confident, but doesn’t need to be the center of attention.
She’s been married for almost 2 years to her husband Mason. He is the life of the party, so they really do balance each other.
Belinda is very family oriented. Our family is big, crazy, a little dramatic, but they are always there for you. She has a bulldog named Priscilla, and she loves her bulldog. It’s her fat little baby that she adores. She’s also into sports like Thunder, OU and Kansas City Chiefs.

When we were shopping around for the perfect hotel to host our boudoir events, we ultimately chose The Campbell Hotel. It is just an amazing hotel unlike any other in Oklahoma. As soon as we spoke with the hotel, everything fell into place with ease. They have gone above and beyond to work with us and we have appreciated it so much.
In all reality, I probably drove by The Campbell a hundred times not knowing what I was driving by. My favorite thing about this hotel is their diverse rooms. No 2 rooms are alike, so each boudoir session ends up being unique and different. Love that!
Then came our collaboration with their spa and salon – Spa Maxx. This was a BIG deal to us. We liked the idea of our clients being able to get their hair & makeup done downstairs, then head up to their room for their session. So everything is all under one roof. Convenience!
Like the hotel, everything has fallen into place. The girls in the salon are super sweet and are so good at what they do. They seem to be just as excited about working with us as we are with them. We feel it doesn’t matter what your age, every woman still likes to get dolled up and play dress up…or in our case dress down
The day you come in for your boudoir session, we want you to relax and have fun with the whole experience. The moment you book with us, we will set up a date to meet with you. We want to have the opportunity to introduce ourselves and answer any questions you might have. We also want to get an idea of what you are envisioning for your boudoir session. Our goal is to make our time together uniquely you…do you want dramatic makeup or a soft look? Do you want your hair down with curls or do you want a pinup girl hair do? Do you have a certain theme you want to try or go traditional?
Once you arrive at the hotel, you will drop off your things in the hotel room and then head downstairs to get your hair and makeup done. Prior to your arrival, we will have gone over with the ladies of Spa Maxx what look you want, so when you sit down you won’t have anything to worry about.
Just enjoy getting pampered for an hour! What’s that you say? You’ll be too nervous about your shoot to enjoy it? I’m pretty sure their complimentary wine will take care of that…just sayin’

So, whatever you bring to the table, they will have the makeup to pull it off.

Last touch – Faux Eyelashes! They just add a little oomph when we photograph you. The salon does supply false eyelashes, but if you would like to bring your own favorite kind, that is no problem at all.

So, I’ve known Ashtan for a couple of years now. She very well could be the most chill person I have ever come in contact with. Her relaxed disposition is refreshing in someone her age (all of 21). I get this old soul feeling from her and I honestly think that is why we are able to have a decent conversation regardless of our 10 year age difference. You see, back in my day…just kidding.
I digress…
What I’m trying to say is that she is a young woman that is genuinely comfortable in her skin. Ashtan is grateful for the life that has been given to her. She enjoys every minute of being a new mom and thinks the world of her husband whom she has been in love with since they were kids. I think that once a woman gets married and has children, we tend to solely define them as “wife & mother,” but just like the rest of us, she is much more than that. She is an amazing artist as well. Hobbies and our passions in life remind us who we are sometimes. Art (painting, drawing) is that for her.
She is also extremely thoughtful and kind hearted. I think when you come across individuals with these qualities, you should appreciate them and try to pay them the same kind heart in return. I hope that never changes in her.
I’ve photographed Ashtan A LOT over the last couple of years. She was my guinea pig when I was just starting. She was my first engagement, maternity, hospital, and (a failed attempt) newborn session. She’s just easy to work with! She photographs super well and yes, she is so chill, LOL So, I never feel nervous to just practice and waste her precious time.
